Why the Maverick Is a Good Test Case
The Maverick’s crew cab has a shorter door and a steeply raked rear window compared to a full-size truck, which means the film has to be pattern-cut precisely or it won’t seat cleanly around the door frame and mirror triangle. It’s a good example of why we don’t hand-cut film against the glass with a blade — one slip and you’re looking at a scratch in factory paint or trim that has nothing to do with the tint itself.
Inside the Install
Every panel is plotted from a digital pattern matched to the Maverick’s exact body style before the truck ever comes into the bay. That’s what you’re seeing here — the technician working the door glass with a heat gun and slip solution, door open, film pre-cut and ready. No razor blade near the glass, no guesswork on the curve of the window.
We install every vehicle indoors, in a controlled bay — never outside in the wind and dust. Film applied outdoors traps airborne contamination permanently under the tint, which is the most common reason a cheap tint job looks bad within a year. It’s a small detail that makes a real difference six months later.
The Finished Truck
Clean, even edges on every window and no visible film lines at the trim. We use ceramic window tint on most trucks because it rejects infrared heat without needing to go dark — important for a work truck that sits in an El Cajon parking lot all day. Ceramic film is also non-metallic, so it won’t interfere with a backup camera, GPS, or any factory sensors mounted near the glass.

Every vehicle we tint leaves with a California compliance sticker documenting the film installed. If you’re ever stopped, that sticker is what shows the tint is on record and legal.
